MIMIC IS HERE!
The wait is finally over. MIMIC has officially launched into Early Access!
After years of development, countless hours of testing, and a whole lot of blood, sweat, and probably a few tears, I’m incredibly excited (and a little terrified!) to finally put MIMIC into your hands.
But this is just the beginning.
MIMIC is a multiplayer survival horror game built around paranoia, deception, and the constant fear that the person standing next to you might not be who they claim to be.
Early Access marks a huge milestone for the game, but it also marks the beginning of something even more important: building MIMIC together with you, the community.
We have some ambitious plans for MIMIC throughout Early Access, with plenty of new content, features, and improvements on the horizon.
Here’s a taste of what’s coming:

The Icarus is just the beginning! We’re planning three additional maps, each bringing new environments to explore, fresh dangers to face, and new opportunities for deception.
Each location will offer its own atmosphere, challenges, and secrets to uncover.
Want to experience the horrors of MIMIC without a full crew?
We’re working towards introducing a single-player experience, offering new ways to enjoy the world of MIMIC, challenge your survival skills, and uncover its mysteries.
No two games should ever feel quite the same.
We’re planning to expand our affix system with new modifiers that shake up the rules, introduce unexpected challenges, and create even more chaotic and memorable moments with your friends.
There’s much more going on in the world of MIMIC than meets the eye.
New secrets, hidden discoveries, and additional lore will gradually reveal more about the Icarus, the corporation behind it, and the terrifying events unfolding around you.
Pay attention. Question everything. Not all secrets are meant to be found.
Alongside new content, we’ll be continually improving the game throughout Early Access.
This includes:
-
Bug fixes, stability improvements, and performance optimisation.
-
Gameplay balancing and quality-of-life improvements.
-
Improvements to multiplayer, matchmaking, and the overall player experience.
-
New features and gameplay systems.
-
Community-requested changes and additions.
-
Plenty more surprises along the way!
This isn’t an exhaustive list, and our plans will continue to evolve as we learn what works, what doesn’t, and what you want to see next.
I want to be completely transparent about something.
MIMIC is being developed by a solo developer. Me!
Taking on a project like MIMIC has been an enormous undertaking, and getting it to this point has been one of the biggest challenges of my career.
There’s still a lot of work ahead, and while I have some exciting ideas for where MIMIC could go, I also recognise that I can’t do this without your help.
That’s exactly why Early Access is so important.
I don’t want to spend the next year building features that nobody wants or making decisions in isolation. I want to hear from the people actually playing the game.
Your feedback will directly help shape the future of MIMIC.
Tell me what you love. Tell me what frustrates you. Tell me about the ridiculous moments you’ve experienced with your friends, the bugs you’ve encountered, and the features you wish existed.
Whether it’s a small quality-of-life suggestion or a completely wild idea, I want to hear it.
Not every suggestion will make it into the game, but every piece of constructive feedback helps me understand how to make MIMIC better.
There are several ways you can support MIMIC throughout Early Access:
-
Play the game! Jump in with friends, experiment with different strategies, and see what happens.
-
Share your feedback. Use the Steam Discussions and our Discord community to suggest improvements and report issues.
-
Leave a Steam review. Honest reviews are incredibly valuable, both for helping us improve and for helping other players discover the game.
-
Share your moments. Stream, record, and share your funniest, scariest, and most chaotic encounters.
-
Spread the word. As an indie developer, word of mouth makes an enormous difference.
Most importantly, be part of the conversation.
We’ll be listening, sharing development updates, and working to make MIMIC better with every update.
Early Access means exactly that. MIMIC isn’t finished, and there will undoubtedly be bugs, rough edges, and things that need improving.
I also want to be careful not to promise specific delivery dates for upcoming features. As a solo developer, priorities can change, particularly when unexpected technical challenges arise or community feedback highlights something more important.
What I can promise is a commitment to continually improving MIMIC, being open about development, and doing everything I can to make it the best experience possible.
I have so many ideas for this game, and I’m incredibly excited to finally share this journey with you.
To everyone who has wishlisted MIMIC, joined our playtests, watched the development streams, shared the game, or simply offered a few words of encouragement:
Thank you. Genuinely.
You’ve helped make this possible.
Now it’s time to board the Icarus, trust absolutely nobody, and see if you can survive.
Welcome to MIMIC Early Access.
See you aboard,
